Peppa’s is one of the best Caribbean spots you have to visit while traveling to Brooklyn.

The location I go to is the one on Utica Ave. Their food is very fresh and the store is very clean, but very busy every time I go. Sometimes the lines are out the door and it takes at least twenty to thirty minutes. Last time I went, I was lucky and it only took me five minutes to order. I went pretty early in the day, and it is usually more busy at night.

At this location, it never appears to be dirty. Usually when restaurants get a lot of customers, the counter top is always messy with food or even spills of sauce. Every time the servers serve their customers, they clean after themselves. It is surprising to me because usually servers can be messy and leave it until they feel like cleaning it at other places.

Something else I noticed is that they have a hand sanitizer station which is useful for customers, and provides good customer service. No matter what, hand sanitizer is a great use. You can use the hand sanitizer as you are entering the store and when you leave to prevent as many germs as possible from spreading.

Everytime I go, I order a large rasta pasta with jerk chicken and a pink lemonade. The rasta pasta with jerk chicken came up to $13 and the pink lemonade was $3. My bill came to $16, but it was worth it because they gave me a lot of food which could hold me at least for two to three days. I also asked for a side of jerk chicken sauce and barbecue sauce because I have a bad habit of mixing them together and pouring it on my food. It’s really good though, and I recommend it to everyone to try.

The servers are very friendly and they treat you like family, and this location especially has very good customer service. There is a lot on the menu to try. I would also recommend the oxtail with white rice and sweet plantains which is very tasty.

Nobody ever leaves this restaurant disappointed and the food is always fresh and hot.
