If you live in Nassau County and have attended a summer concert, you’ve likely been to the Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, NY. This popular concert venue will receive upgrades as part of a five-year renovation plan!

According to the Daily Voice, Live Nation Entertainment will invest millions of dollars into the renovation project. The company has not disclosed the exact investment cost to the public. Fans can expect a “seamless” entryway and new and increased dining. Greater Long Island reported that visitors can anticipate a food and beverage section dedicated to local concession options.

One of the biggest additions to the amphitheater is a twenty percent increase in the number of bathroom facilities. The venue currently accommodates 14,500 people, so this will certainly benefit concertgoers. The renovation will also consist of replacing many seats in the upper section of the venue.

ABC7NY said that “resilience and sustainability will be improved with new seawalls to protect from high tides, new energy-efficient LED lighting, and solar-powered street lighting.” The Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater has already received digital boards and increased concession areas as part of a previous Live Nation renovation.

Greater Long Island explained that the Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater will still have a 2023 summer concert season. Tom See, the chief operating officer for Live Nation’s Venue Nation, said, “We look forward to sharing the first phase of improvements with our fans next summer, and will continue to create an impact for years to come.” The Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater has not revealed a start date for construction.

The 70-year-old concert venue has hosted many big artists from OneRepublic, to the Backstreet Boys, to Pitbull! According to CBSNews, the regional president at Live Nation Entertainment, Geoff Gordon, said “It’s a world-class venue, and these reimagining aspects that we’re going to add today and unveil today, will only make it that much better, and it will be the best venue on the East Coast.”
