For Super Bowl Weekend, my family and I went to Woodloch Pines for a little getaway and we had an amazing time! Located in Hawley, PA, Woodloch Pines is an all-inclusive resort. Instead of it being one large hotel with acres of land surrounding it, the resort has a series of small buildings and cabins that guests can stay in surrounding the beautiful Lake Teedyuskung.

Woodloch Pines Resort is owned by the Kiesendahl family. They have owned Woodloch for over 50 years. When entering the dining room of the resort, guests are typically greeted by the founders’ sons, John and Patrick Kiesendahl, as they shake hands with guests and welcome them to their resort. At Woodloch, breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served during set hours of the day. Throughout your stay, you have the same table and server. Sometimes, returning guests will often request a server that they had during their last visit.

There are tons of activities to do at Woodloch for all ages. There are indoor and outdoor pools that come equipped with water slides. During the summer, the lake is open and also has a water slide. There are docks in the middle of the lake that guests can jump from. During the winter, they have snow tubing, where guests can tube down giant hills covered in snow. There are also many other outdoor related activities such as go-karts, mini golf, rock climbing, ice skating, archery, and a shooting barn.

Throughout the day, Woodloch a variety of organized activities that guests can participate in. They have tons of trivial related games such as Name That Tune, Family Feud, Jeopardy, Movie Trivia, and others. Winners of these trivia games can win medals! Unfortunately, my family and I did not win any medals, but we still had a fun time!

After dinner they also have activities and shows for guests. These vary by night. Sometimes, they will have magic shows, DJ parties, karaoke, horse racing, and comedy acts. On Wednesdays and Saturdays at the resort, they have a “theme show” that changes every year. For this year, the show was called “California Dreamin’” and it was all about the beautiful state of California. It was a really fun and entertaining show that I enjoyed.

Since my family and I went up for Super Bowl Weekend, they had a big Super Bowl watch party in the Nightclub, which is a room where they have their nightly entertainment. They had the big game playing on big screens, with a buffet of different types of finger foods that guests can enjoy. The food was very good!

Overall, we had a blast at Woodloch Pines and it’s a really fun place for anyone at any age. We would definitely go back to Woodloch Pines resort for another weekend getaway.
