SUNY Old Westbury’s Student Government Association [SGA] held their bi-annual Club Bash in the Campus Center Atrium on September 7th.

Attending the Club Bash event is the first step for students to learn what is happening on campus. But above all, it is an opportunity for students to de-stress and have fun while learning about all the possibilities that the school offers through the different clubs and organizations.

Some clubs and organizations that attended the event were the OW Rainbow Club, the Politics, Economics, and Law [PEL] club, the Social Justice Club, the Punjabi Club, the SGA, and Glamazon, the college’s fashion club.

The E-board of each club or organization offered a variety of free samples, refreshments, and helpful information for students. The school photographer had the opportunity to interview some of the E-board members.

There were two rows of tables on either side of the atrium, each with green or white tablecloths for the 50 Greek-letter, commuter, social, and cultural organizations on campus that attended the event.

Students could visit all the tables to chat with e-board members, learn more about each club or organization, and join the ones they liked.

Different dance teams performed at the event, including All the Right Moves [ATRM], and the Punjabi Club Dance Team, among others. Their performances spiced up the event and showed their creativity.

The president of the school, Timothy E. Sams, attended the event along with many students and faculty.

The event was a total success! And many clubs had the opportunity to reach out to other clubs to ask for collaborations for future events.
