Main Event

All it took was 30 seconds for Bobby “King” Green to deliver one of the greatest upsets in recent memory. Bobby Green is the opposite of a boring fighter. Green is one of the sport’s highest level showmen. In his previous performances, whether he wins or loses, Green has always been exciting.

Coming off of a huge momentum in his last fight against Tony Ferguson, Green was now scheduled to fight against Grant Dawson. Dawson is a skilled wrestler with notable wins over Damir Ismagulov, Mark Madson, and Jared Gordan.

With Dawson’s impressive victories over U.F.C elites, he was expected to dominate in the matchup over Green. Green, being his usual confident self-had no fear for this matchup.

Coming into this matchup of Grant Dawson vs. Bobby Green Dawson was a heavy–350 favorite against Green. (Betting $350 on Dawson would only return $100). This fight took place in the dangerous lightweight division.

Dawson was this heavy of a favorite because of his advantage in wrestling. The public was expected that he would dominate Green.

Green came out in his unique style with his hands at his waist, tempting Dawson to strike with him. Green switched stance and landed a left straight that put Dawson down. With follow-up shots on the ground, the fight was over.
